The State of Michigan, through its community colleges, provides on the job training classes for manufacturing companies throughout the state.  FCS worked closely with Schoolcraft College, Washtenaw Community College, and Macomb Community College to put together operations management programs and provide the on site training.  Classes were tailored to the specific needs of each company and would often include the actual company information in the training materials.  Many of the training engagements included more than 40 hours of class instruction.
ERP software is a very useful tool for many companies but only if they understand the theory behind the entire field of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP).  As part of several different implementation projects, FCS has provided classroom style training to the employees who were going to be key users of the new system.  Once again the classroom materials were customized for each company to make the material more relatable and easier to understand.
