The business software used by this company was not designed for manufacturing and had fallen behind the release schedule.   The company contacted Field Consulting Services in 2008 to determine if they should upgrade to the latest release or look for new software.

After conducting an assessment of their business processes, we found that the company had much bigger issues to address than worrying about the software.  Specific process improvement activities were conducted to set up a new part numbering system, gain control over the bills of material, implement purchasing controls, establish annual budget process, and develop an HR policy manual.  As of 2015 the company was still using the same software and their business was flourishing.
