Field Consulting Services was involved with the implementation of Syteline software at a medical device company. Our role was project manager. A full project implementation team was formed with representation from production, materials management, engineering, finance, and sales.
The project took nearly ten months to complete including both employee education and training, data conversion, and writing new procedures and work instructions. Several key processes were addressed including more stringent engineering change control procedure and applying spending approval process for non-inventory purchasing.
During the project Field Consulting Services was on site at least one day a week, and frequently more often, to ensure the project stayed on track and was completed on time. The go-live target date was successfully met and the cutover happened with no significant disruptions to normal business activities.
